How long does each session take?

What can I do to get the best tanning results and a long-lasting sunless tan?

We carry the entire MagicTan product line to enhance your tanning results. Before you come in for your MagicTan session, it is important for you to shower and exfoliate your skin. Many exfoliants contain natural oils, but it is important that the exfoliant you use does NOT contain natual oils to get the best tanning results. Do not apply deodorant, perfumes, creams or lotion before your tanning session. We highly recommend the MagicTan Prep Gel. It is specially formulated to work with MagicTan solution by preparing your skin to act as a damp sponge and soak up all the tanning solution. MagicTan Prep Gel has been shown to make your tan 30% darker and more consistent.

How long does MagicTan last?

Your tan should last for up to 7 days, but remember your skin recycles itself regularly. Long baths and showers, swimming, lying on a sandy beach will all encourage your skin to exfoliate naturally, losing your tan in the process. Regular moisturizing will help, and we carry an entire line of products designed to maintain your tan.

What should I wear in the MagicTan booth?

Most people wear nothing. Our MagicTan booth is in a private room and we offer our clients complete privacy. If it makes you more comfortable you can wear a bathing suit or underwear into the booth. MagicTan solution should wash out of your clothing, but there is always a risk that anything you wear into the MagicTan booth could stain.

Should I cover my hair during my MagicTan session?

MagicTan solution should not penetrate the hair folicale or dye or damage your hair in any way, but we do provide shower caps for you to wear during your session.

How long should I wait after my MagicTan session before showering or swimming?

Wait at least 5 hours before showering, moisturizing, swimming, or engaging in any strenuous physical activity.

If I tan in the MagicTan booth, can I also tan in UV beds or in the sun?

Yes. There is nothing about MagicTan that will prevent you from tanning in the sun or traditional indoor UV tanning.

Can I use the MagicTan booth if I am pregnant?

We recommend a physician's consultation before using MagicTan iff you are pregnant.

Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to MagicTan?

MagicTan solution ingredients have been tested thoroughly and almost never result in an allergic reaction. However, if you have had reactions in the past to other tanning products or cosmetics, it is important to spot test a small area of your skin before your first session.
